Donna Alvermann, Distinguished Research Professor of Language and Literacy Education, was named a 2012 Fellow of the American Educational Research Association in recognition of her scientific and scholarly contributions to education research.
She has been cited for her work during her almost three decades as a UGA faculty member. She received the honor at the association’s annual meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
