Dr. Cathy Brown, professor of pathology at the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Athens Diagnostic Lab, recently won one of the two best article awards presented by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians. The awards recognize the best papers published in the Journal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation. Brown and her co-authors received an award for the paper entitled “Outbreaks of Renal Failure associated with Melamine and Cyanuric Acid in Dogs and Cats in 2004 and 2007,” published in September 2007.
