UGA’s sixth annual President’s Fulfilling the Dream Awards will be presented at the Freedom Breakfast on Jan. 16 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.
Awards will be presented to individuals from throughout Athens-Clarke County and surrounding areas who have made significant efforts to build bridges of unity and understanding. Award nominations should be based on significant contributions an individual has made toward the spirit of the King federal holiday: equal opportunity and justice for all.
Nominations, which must be received no later than Dec. 2, should be mailed to the Office of Institutional Diversity, c/o Awards Selection Committee, 119 Holmes-Hunter Academic Building, Campus Mail 6119.
Include the nominee’s name, address and telephone number, as well as description of the nominee’s acts supporting the application of King’s ideology and leadership in the letter or recommendation. Two letters of recommendation are needed. For more information, call (706) 583-8195.
