Edward Delgado-Romero, an associate professor in the department of counseling and human development resources, has been voted president-elect of the National Latino Psychological Association.
A lifetime founding member of the NLPA, Delgado-Romero served as treasurer and membership chair of the organization from 2002–2005.
Delgado-Romero will take office as NLPA president in 2009 and serve a two-year term. However, the position requires a six-year commitment with a preliminary two-year term as president-elect and an additional two years of service as past president.
