The University of Georgia is committed to the professional and career development of staff. A Presidential Task Force recommended the Engage & Learn initiative to further support staff development. The Engage & Learn Grant Program was established as part of the Engage & Learn initiative, creating professional development opportunities for staff to grow, develop and share ideas to fuel innovation at the University of Georgia.

The Engage & Learn Grant Program will award a minimum of 10 internal grants each year for staff professional development. Applications for the spring 2022 program are currently being accepted through Feb. 28. Amounts up to $1,000 per individual or $2,000 per group (two or more) will be awarded for professional development costs related to the applicant’s job and/or career goals. Awards will be granted by the end of March.
