Human resources has established an online process for enrolling and requesting changes in UGA benefits programs. Faculty and staff may now use HRconnection, www.hrconnection.com. New hires can use the site to enroll, and current employees can request changes in benefits coverage due to changes in family circumstance.
Instead of completing and submitting paper forms, current employees may gain access to the HRconnection site using their UGA registered e-mail addresses. This fall, HRconnection will be used to make benefits open enrollment elections for the 2009 calendar year.
Benefits open enrollment will be held Oct. 6-Nov. 7. Enrollees will have the choice to use HRconnection or submit paper forms to make elections for 2009. Human resources will distribute campus-wide communication about open enrollment when more information becomes available.
Paper form submission will continue to be required for certain benefits, including retirement choices, tax-deferred savings plans (403b and 457b) enrollment and changes, and requests to continue health and dental coverage after termination (COBRA).
