Facilitator training

The Office of the Vice President for Instruction will conduct a training session for faculty and professional staff members who are interested in serving as facilitators for alleged academic dishonesty matters. This training will take place Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon, in room Q of the Georgia Center.

Potential facilitators should have an interest in participating in the academic honesty process at UGA, the ability to deal effectively with interpersonal conflict, good listening skills, and time-for training, to observe actual facilitations, to co-facilitate once or twice prior to facilitating alone, and then five or more hours per semester to facilitate.

For more information about academic honesty at UGA, go to www.uga.edu/ovpi/academic_honesty/academic_honesty.htm.

To register or for more information, contact Debbie Bell or Ann Crowther via e-mail (dbell@uga.edu, acrowthe@uga.edu) or phone (542‑4336) by 5 p.m. Jan. 21.
