Finalists names in serach for dean of UGA business college

Finalists named in search for dean of UGA business college

Athens, Ga. – Three finalists have been chosen in the search for a new dean of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and they will be visiting campus this week.

The finalists were chosen in a national search to replace George Benson, who left the Terry College last year to become president of the College of Charleston. They are:

  • David W. Stewart, the Robert E. Brooker Professor of marketing in the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California;
  • D. Sudharshan, dean of the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky; an
  • Robert T. Sumichrast, dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.

The candidates will be on campus to meet with faculty, staff and students in the Terry College and to meet with President Michael F. Adams, Provost Arnett Mace and other administrators as well as alumni and supporters of the college. The dates of their visits are: Stewart, May 1-2; Sudharshan, May 2-3; and Sumichrast, May 3-4.
