Fitness Center openings

The UGA Fitness Center, located in the academic wing of the Ramsey Center, is now accepting new participants into the adult fitness and cardiac rehabilitation programs.

The adult fitness program offers one‑hour classes three days per week, at 6:30 a.m., noon and 5:10 p.m. The cardiac rehabilitation program offers one-hour classes three days per week, at 9:30 a.m., 2:45 p.m., and 3:45 p.m.

The classes are led by qualified fitness instructors and are designed to improve muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Individualized training programs and exercise prescriptions are constructed for all new participants based on the results of a health and fitness evaluation.

All prospective participants must have a physician’s referral form completed prior to entry into the program. A graded exercise stress test is also required and can be taken at the UGA Fitness Center.
