Athens, Ga. – Gina Drosos, board member for Signet Jewelers and former head of Procter and Gamble Beauty, will deliver the keynote address at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business 2012 Professional Women’s Conference Nov. 2 at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center at the Georgia Center.

The event is open to professionals and students and includes topics geared to various levels of experience. The cost of registration, which includes lunch, is $50 for non-students. UGA students are free. To register, see www.terry.uga.edu/alumni/wc/.

Drosos is a Terry College alumna and a regular member of Fortune magazine’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business. She earned the nickname “Steel Magnolia” while at Procter and Gamble, where she oversaw more than 20 global beauty and personal-care brands. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of business administration from Terry College.

The conference also offers programs on financial planning, entrepreneurship, work-life balance and social media. The luncheon speaker will be Jill Tietjen, co-author of the best-selling book “Her Story: A Timeline of Women who Changed America.”

“This is a great opportunity for professional women and students to hear directly from female executives-no matter where they are in their careers,” said Natalie Glenn, director of alumni relations at Terry College. “The conference is in its third year and while we are always sure to include plenty of time for networking, our speakers and panel topics change to provide new and different content. Our conference attendees range from undergraduate and MBA students, young and seasoned professionals, university faculty and staff, and alumni and friends of the university.”
