Four finalists for the position of dean of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication will visit campus in February to meet with members of the university community.
A search committee chaired by Sheila Allen, dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the UGA Search Group in Human Resources.
Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Reception Hall (Room 135) of the Tate Student Center. The finalists and the dates of their presentation are:
- Michael Evans, interim dean and associate professor, Indiana University School of Journalism, Feb. 14.
- Jeffrey Springston, associate dean for research and graduate studies and professor, UGA’s Grady College, Feb. 18.
- Charles Davis, professor, University of Missouri School of Journalism and facilitator, Mizzou Advantage program, Office of the Provost, Feb. 25.
- Derina Holtzhausen, director and professor, Oklahoma State University School of Media and Strategic Communications, Feb. 27.
