To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Georgia 4-H, the program has published Georgia 4-H: Historic Past, Dynamic Future, a scrapbook illustrating the history and current programs and people of Georgia 4-H.
The book is a compilation of information and photos from the program’s past and present.
Each face and individual county story is part of the mosaic that collectively forms a portrait of Georgia 4-H.
Since 1904, the Georgia 4-H program has impacted the lives of youth through lifelong learning, leadership skills and self-confidence. What began as a program to teach new farming techniques as a community-based educational program has progressed into a program in which young people learn by doing and in doing so, become engaged citizens.
