Gordhan L. Patel received 2004 Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate Education

Gordhan L. Patel, vice president for research and associate provost, received the 2004 Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Graduate Education from the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools. Patel was dean of the UGA graduate school from 1989 until 2002.

The award recognizes significant contributions that benefit graduate education in the South. The Conference of Southern Graduate Schools is comprised of more than 200 graduate schools in 15 states.
