The Peabody Awards, a unit of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, will present its fifth Peabody-Smithgall Lecture March 25 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel.
John Huey, a Grady College graduate, former editor-in-chief of Time and a first-year member of the Peabody board, will discuss “The Media and Public Life.” The lecture is open free to the public.
A Georgia native and 1970 UGA alumnus, Huey has a journalism career that includes stints at the Dekalb (County) New Era, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine and Time.
