The Hampton Roads, Va.-based Daily Press quoted Allan Armitage, a horticulture professor, in an article about unusual plants that people can plant in backyard gardens.
Talking about species like voodoo lily, mayapple and eyeball plant, he said, “It’s the kind of stuff we’re growing here. And it’s the kind of stuff people will buy if garden centers put it out there in more than just bits and pieces.”
