Henry F. Schaefer III, Graham Perdue Professor of Chemistry and director of the Center for Computational Chemistry, received two honors in China.
On Sept. 19, he delivered the Nanqiang Lecture at Xiamen University, Amoy, China. This named lecture recognizes interdisciplinary research at the highest level. On Sept. 21, Schaefer received an honorary degree from the Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. The Sichuan University is the most distinguished university in western China.
