Andy Herod, Distinguished Research Professor of Geography, along with two Greek colleagues who have been visiting scholars at UGA, was recently awarded the 2022 Jim Lewis Prize by the editorial team of the European Urban and Regional Studies journal.
The prize recognized their article, “Inter-regional underemployment and the industrial reserve army: Precarity as a contemporary Greek drama,” European Urban and Regional Studies 28.4: 413-430, published by Herod, Konstantinos Gourzis and Stelios Gialis, as “the most innovative paper published in the previous year in the journal.”
The Jim Lewis prize was established in 2014.
