Hugh J. Watson, professor of management information systems, has been named a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems.
AIS is the leading professional organization for information systems academics, and Watson joins 30 other AIS Fellows from around the world.
Watson helped develop the conceptual foundation for decision support systems in the 1970s, researched the development and implementation of executive information systems in the 1980s and, most recently, began specializing in the field of data warehousing.
