Beginning fall semester, social security numbers will no longer be used on classroom rolls, grade rolls or any other classroom activity.
Instead, a nine-digit portion of the UGACard number beginning with 810 will be used on tests and other documents requiring the sensitive information. The last digit on the 16-digit ID card number will not be used. Fliers and e-mail notices will be posted reminding students to learn their “810” number.
