James Holmes, a senior research associate at UGA’s Center for International Trade and Security, pens an op-ed in the Taipei Times. “Taiwan must preserve the military balance (with China) if it wants to choose its own destiny. For its part, China should not assume that military superiority guarantees it victory in a trial of arms,” Holmes writes.
