Gymnastics coaches Jay Hogue and Philip Ogletree were named Southeast Region Assistant Coaches of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women. Hogue and Ogletree are in their second seasons on the UGA staff.
In addition, Christie Purks, director of event management for the Athletic Association, was voted the Southeast Region Administrator of the Year. Purks serves as the meet director for UGA’s home competitions, including the NCAA regional competition recently held in Stegeman Coliseum.
