Jennifer Graff, an assistant professor of language and literacy education, was one of only two U.S. scholars to receive a research fellowship at the International Youth Library in Munich, Germany, this summer.
She will conduct qualitative research involving international children’s literature and immigration. She also will participate in international research seminars involving local and international scholars and educators.
The IYL Fellowship Program was developed to support research in the field of international children’s and youth literature and illustration and to promote academic exchange and international cooperation. The program enables scholars from around the world to investigate the relationships between youth and literature in an increasingly global and networked society.
