John Carroll, a professor of wildlife ecology and management in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, has received $3,576 from Tall Timbers Research Inc., to study the effect of reducing the size of prescribed fire burns on increasing both habitat diversity and northern bobwhite populations. The study will be conducted in the Babcock-Webb Wildlife Management Area, which is managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
