Karen Porter, professor emeritus of the Institute of Ecology, was listed in the June 2005 Bulletin of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography as having the most frequently cited published paper in the 50-year history of the society’s journal, Limnology and Oceanography. The article is titled “The use of DAPI for identifying and counting aquatic microflora.”
