Kenneth Fischer presented European premiere of American Concertino

Kenneth Fischer, professor of saxophone at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, presented the European premiere of American Concertino for soprano saxophone and chamber orchestra by the Czech composer Jindrich Feld. Fischer appeared as soprano saxophone soloist with the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in three performances of this work throughout the Czech Republic.

The second movement of this new major work for saxophone solo is titled “In Memoriam to the Victims of September 11, 2001.” Maestro Leos Svarovsky conducted each performance. The premiere performance was attended by the
Hon. William Cabaniss, U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
