Applications to full-time M.B.A. programs are way up, with more than two-thirds of U.S. programs receiving more applications this year than last year, according to a report by the Graduate Management Admission Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to disseminating information about graduate management education.
The demand, however, applies only to full-time or one-year programs. More than
50 percent of the part-time and executive M.B.A. programs in U.S. colleges and universities were either down or showed no change in the number of applications received, the group reported.
