Faculty members planning a First-year Odyssey seminar or interested in developing or revising a course are invited to participate in a Maymester Institute on Integrating Course Design and Technology May 16-19 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning.
Interactive sessions will focus on (re)designing face-to-face courses and exploring technologies that can help students reach specific learning goals.
Morning sessions will concentrate on course design, and afternoon sessions will cover instructional technology that can enhance the learning activities keyed to a course’s learning goals. Among the tools to be demonstrated and explored are blogs, wikis, podcasting, online peer review, e-portfolios and eLearning Commons. Lunch will be provided each day.
Each of the 15 participants will receive a $500 stipend for project development. Applications are online at www.ctl.uga.edu. Contact Paul Quick at pauquick@uga.edu with questions.
