Athens, Ga. — UGA President Michael F. Adams will sign an International Cooperative Agreement with Mali Minister of Agriculture Tiemoko Sangare on Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Administration Building Peabody Board Room. The signing will formalize collaboration between UGA and the ministry. The Malian delegation will also tour UGA agriculture-related facilities in Athens and Tifton.
For several years, the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has develop a relationship with the Western African country, which is one of the poorest in the world and is vulnerable to fluctuations in the world price for cotton-its main export-along with gold.
