Michael Adang, a professor of entomology and biochemistry in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, was recognized by the Association of University Technology Managers in its most recent “Better World Report.”
Adang, along with InsectiGen Inc., was recognized for developing Bt Booster, a product that enhances the effectiveness of naturally occurring pesticides. Bt produces proteins that kill specific insects that carry diseases and feed on plants. Adang and his colleagues found a way to make Bt work even better.
