Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia will hold its Minority and Small Business Expo III, “Building Purchasing Relations,” March 28 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Tate Student Center.
The expo is an opportunity for service and product suppliers to meet and network with UGA departments and purchasing decision-makers. It also will include three informational sessions that vendors can attend to learn more about doing business with UGA. In each of the past two years, this event has connected more than 200 vendors with nearly 100 campus and community purchasers.
“The expo is a way for small and minority-owned businesses to connect with the largest university in the state and one of Georgia’s largest government agencies,” said Holley Schramski, associate vice president of finance and administration and controller. “It’s also a really great opportunity for campus departments to expand their knowledge of the available vendor base.”
The expo is open to all vendors regardless of their business classification. Admission is free, and registration is available online; pre-registration is encouraged. Go to www.busfin.uga.edu/procurement and click on “UGA Expo.”
Parking will be available in the Tate Student Center parking deck, located at the intersection of Baxter and Lumpkin streets.
