Hunker Down with Housing is looking for faculty and staff volunteers. As an early move-in initiative sponsored by University Housing, the program helps to ease the congestion and confusion of the move-in process. This year the program will occur Aug. 12–14.
Interested employees may volunteer for any time allotment, however, more volunteers will be needed on Aug. 12 and Aug. 14.
Primarily, volunteers work outside greeting new students and their families, answering questions, giving directions to area parking lots and venues surrounding campus, and assisting in various other move-in activities.
A training session for all volunteers will be held Aug. 11 from 6–8 p.m. in the Tate Theater.
