NASA funds ASU science program

Arizona State University announced it received a grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to fund a digital science course expansion.

The $10 million grant will build upon ASU professor Ariel Anbar’s experimental online classes that introduced nonscience students to life, space and climate sciences through an adaptive learning platform.

“The aim is to help learners become problem solvers capable of exploring the unknown, rather than just mastering what is already known,” Anbar said. “It is learning science as process and as a universe of questions rather than as a dusty collection of facts.”
