Athens, Ga. – Nathalie Handal, the scheduled guest of the Jane and Harry Willson Center for Humanities and Arts for Thursday, Feb. 13 in its Global Georgia Initiative, will be unable to give her poetry reading due to ongoing travel delays caused by inclement weather. The Willson Center is in the process of rescheduling Handal’s visit for later in the semester.

The 2014 Global Georgia Initiative will continue Feb. 20, with a talk at the University of Georgia Chapel by Paul Pressly, author of “On the Rim of the Caribbean: Colonial Georgia and the British Atlantic World” (University of Georgia Press, 2013). Lisa Bayer, director of the UGA Press, will introduce Pressly. For a complete calendar and details on all Willson Center events and programs, see http://willson.uga.edu.
