A new award created by a national organization will be given this fall to Anneliese Singh. She will receive the award during ALGBTIC’s conference this September in Portland, Oregon, in recognition of her work to strengthen the voices of queer and trans people of color.
The inaugural ALGBTIC Anneliese Singh Queer and Trans People of Color Award will be presented to Singh this fall at the annual conference of the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling.
Singh is an associate dean and professor in UGA’s College of Education.
