A new monthly book club, “The Rest of the Story,” at the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries, will focus on works connected to upcoming and ongoing exhibitions. The monthly titles are selected-and discussions led-by special collections staff who help to create these displays. The book club invites readers to learn more about the topics explored, taking them into new, related areas of interest.
The February selection is The King Years: Historic Moments in the Civil Rights Movement by Taylor Branch in recognition of Black History Month and Branch’s selection as a 2015 inductee in the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame, based at the UGA Libraries. The discussion will be held Feb. 24 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Monthly selections are available for purchase at Avid Bookshop (http://www.avidbookshop.com/) or for checkout at the UGA Libraries.
Additional selections for the year will be announced via the UGA Libraries events calendar (www.libs.uga.edu) and other outlets.
