Page commemorates desegregation anniversary

This spring, the University of Georgia launched a new landing page for the 60th Anniversary of Desegregation.

The landing page was created to commemorate the anniversary and celebrate the progress the university has made since Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter took their heroic steps on the University of Georgia’s campus to enroll as students, followed by Mary Frances Early, who entered graduate school that summer.

The site includes a calendar of events that commemorate the anniversary, profiles of notable individuals during the period of UGA’s desegregation, an interactive timeline, videos and a newsfeed.
