In its move to serve four years of undergraduate education, the University of Baltimore is offering free tuition to all freshmen enrolled in fall 2007, according to The Sun, a Baltimore, Md., newspaper.
Administrators said the scholarships should increase interest in the institution’s first freshman class in 30 years. It previously served only graduates and third- and fourth-year undergraduates. Cost for the program could run to be $900,000 without financial aid, the newspaper reported. An anonymous donor has contributed money for the program.
