Bard College, a liberal arts college in Annadale-on-Hudson, N.Y., acquired a higher education institution in Berlin that it plans to use as a satellite campus, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.
Bard owns the German institution thanks to a transfer from the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation, which also supplied a $12 million grant to support establishing a four-year liberal arts bachelor’s program there, the Chronicle reported. Bard plans to use the institution’s 15 buildings to expand academic programs that will be accredited in both Germany and the U.S.
