Norman Thomson, an associate professor in the department of mathematics and science education, received the Faculty Position Paper Award at the Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education Conference for his submission entitled “Challenging 21st Century Students in the Anthropocene: Actively Speaking Out for Global Diversity.”
Approximately 200 science teachers, science teacher educators and future science teachers attended the SASTE annual conference in October.
