The UGA Observatory will host public viewing nights on Sept. 18 at 9 p.m. and Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.
The telescope is atop the physics building on Sanford Drive. Other viewing dates for this fall are Nov. 16 and Dec. 11 both at 7:30 p.m. The Nov. 16 viewing was chosen because that is the height of the Leonid Meteor Shower.
If it is cloudy on Sept. 18, there will be a talk entitled “The Milky Way Galaxy: Our Stellar Home.”
The viewings are all open free to the public.
