The College of Pharmacy will hold the11th annual Howard C. Ansel Symposium Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The symposium will focus on developments in the management of hyperlipidemia.
Patients with hyperlipidemia are at high risk of cardiovascular episodes, and pharmacists play a vital role in medication management of lipid therapy. The program is open to pharmacists who offer lipid therapy management or pharmacy technicians who wish to learn more about it.
The keynote address will be given by Dr. Jonathan Murrow, a cardiologist and assistant professor of medicine with the Georgia Regents University/UGA Medical Partnership.
