Paul M. Kurtz, associate dean and J. Alton Hosch Professor at the School of Law, was recently named chair of the drafting committee on the Visitation and Custody Issues Affecting Military Personnel and Their Families Act. The legislation was enacted in response to the complex problems confronting military personnel involved in custody and visitation disputes. The drafting committee will address issues applying to custody rights and orders while service members are deployed.
