Elizabeth Mottern has been hired in the College of Pharmacy as associate director of development.
Her responsibilities include soliciting unrestricted income for the college through direct mail and phonathon events, identifying and soliciting support from alumni and corporate donors, participating in alumni and development programs and events, developing promotional materials and working with students on the Senior Legacy Committee.
Mottern previously worked in development at Brookgreen Gardens in Pawleys Island, S.C., and at the Daniel Stowe Botanic Garden in Belmont, N.C.
She received a bachelor of science degree in horticulture from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and a master’s degree in non-profit management from the University of Delaware.
