Peter Hoffer, a professor in the history department of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, has been appointed as a reviewer during 2013-2014 for the fellowship program of the American Council of Learned Societies.
With more than $15 million in annual fellowship stipends awarded last year in more than a dozen programs for research at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels, ACLS is one of the largest supporters of scholars in the humanities. ACLS is a private, nonprofit federation of 71 national scholarly organizations and pre-eminent representative of American scholarship in the humanities and related social sciences.
