As part of the University of Georgia’s annual Spotlight on the Arts festival, 50 members of the Redcoat Marching Band traveled to New York City to perform at the historic Apollo Theater for “Redcoat Band Live.” The rest of the band members performed at the same time in Sanford Stadium via broadcast. The event was the brainchild of Paul Pfieffer, former Lamar Dodd Chair of Art. Read more about the event in this Red & Black story.
