Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia School of Environmental Design showcases an exhibit by Stuart Libby, photographer, painter, printmaker and owner/proprietor of the now-closed Athens institution, the Loblolly Frame Shop and Gallery on Jackson Street, June 8 through July 31. The exhibit, Sculpture, Landscape, & Waterscape: Photography & Photo Etchings 1974-2006, chronicles Libby’s journey from east coast to west and back again. An opening reception will accompany the exhibit at the Circle Gallery on June 8 from 5 -7 p.m. in G14 Caldwell Hall.
Libby received a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute and moved to Athens. His techniques include black and white photography, acrylic, water colors, and printmaking. Libby’s work is held in private collections internationally.
