A remembrance ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks will be held at 7:09 p.m. Sept. 11 at the 9/11 Memorial Trail, 320 Morton Farm Lane, Athens. The ceremony is a way to remember those who died in the attacks and will have a patriotic focus, rather than a political or religious slant, according to organizer Bob Hart, a retired faculty member in the College of Education.
