A Service-Learning Interest Group meeting will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Annex Conference Room next to the Office of Service-Learning. The topic is “K-12 Field Trips to UGA: Expanding College Campus Exposure for Clarke County Students.”
A new plan is forming to promote local K-12 students’ awareness of the university and create a college-bound culture through more systematic visits to campus, with the longer-term goal of having all children of a given grade level participate in the same specified field trip experience to campus.
