Peter Smagorinsky, Distinguished Research Professor in the department of language and literacy education, received the 2011 SAGE Citation for Excellence in Reviewing for his work on behalf of the journal Written Communication.
He was recognized for his work reviewing academic journal articles from one of the world’s leading publishers of journals and electronic media. Smagorinsky received the award on Feb. 20 at the fourth International Conference on Writing Research Across Borders in Washington, D.C.
