Claire B. Clements, professor emerita in the College of Education, is exhibiting, Paper Moon, a solo show of her paintings at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation, 34 School St., Watkinsville, until July 15. The exhibition includes Walking Stick Memories, pictured above. Over the past 30 years, Clements developed the technique she refers to as ‘cut paper paintings,’ which involves painting and cutting by hand extensively. Circles, moons, suns, spheres, planets, circular figures of heads, trees and plants inspire Clements’ work. This is her third solo show in four years.
